Doink is a think and do tank, collecting and communicating data creatively to help people and organisations understand their world and craft a better one.
Dealing with corporate companies and clients, Doink* wanted to create a logo and brand that felt professional and sophisticated but still showed the playfulness and creativity Doink* exemplifies.
Doink*‘s asterisk is an important part of the visual identity as it is a brand identifier and metaphor for idea creation.
ʀ° We decided to create two logomarks to project a cohesive brand image and to add clarity towards what Doink* represents. The wordmark which stands strong in its clean, sophisticated and modern approach appeals to a corporate setting. When an animation is an option, the asterisk is animated to showcase the thinking/idea churning metaphor. The logo is also adaptable and can be shortened for when the necessary space might not be available.
ʀ° The secondary logo mark takes the first two letters of ‘Doink’ and the asterisk to create not only a shorthand version of the logo, but more significantly a playful stylised silhouette generating / forming an idea. Although both logo marks stand strong separately, they are still able to be used in conjunction with one another.
